Is it just me but it seems like this happened last year at the very same time. I loaded the CuteCasr 2 Beta 2 on the server back in April of last year...been going fine all year than all of a sudden April 1 is went 500 error Internal Server error but nothing was changed...

Funny how other scripts work in the CGI-BIN but all of a sudden the cutecast.pl will not run....does anyone know if their is a yearly expire on the free license...? or if anyone else has noticed this...sad to say we cant get it to work any more and we have done nothing to the server...

Might have been hacked and someone is getting a big laugh out of it maybe...but they should not as we backed it all up... but not sure if the cutecast.pl was just effected....not sure but cant get it to work and was wondering it anyone knew a solution to get it up fast...can I just move the files in the old one to a new folder in the CGI and transfer all the files in ASIIC and it work..? or do I have to do the setup.cgi all over again...

Any help guys would be great.....Stormie..?.....anyone?

nothing is wrong with cutecast there is no expiration. when u get a server error like that either your chmod is wrong or the files were uploaded as binary your server mynot allow that chmod 777 or 755 and they may check monthly

Hi MrGoats,

Cutecast 2.x HAS an expiration date - August 24th 2005! To change this, open the ac_lib.cgi in your /lib folder, search for 2005 (only once in this file) and change it to e.g. 2020 and CC will not expire before 2020!

Try re-uploading the lib files and the cutecast.pl file. Just overwrite the files that are already on your server. Be sure you upload in pure ascii mode and check the path to perl in cutecast.pl, if this fails you will then need to examine the permissions on your cutecast.pl file as well as your folders.

Thanks Guys.....I went into the ac_lib.cgi and did a search for 2005 and found it...but it was their twice...

Once as Cookie Reset 2005 and then as Rip Reset 2005...so I just changed them both to 2020 and it seems to still be working..lol...So I guess it is fine.

Wish their was a easy way to make a full backup on the server weekly to make sure I never loose anything...anyone know of a reliable back up hack?
